Swedish “Bank” owners don’t want it to earn money

That bank again. JAK members bank. I just heard from someone who is on their facebook page that members are complaining that the bank needs to earn money.

You heard right. They go through all the trouble and costs to start a bank, write statutes that say it’s a bank, that it should be for the members, to offer interest-free loans, and then they raise their voices that they don’t want it to earn money.

This, if nothing else, shows the the “look at the world through my lens even if it’s narrow” upbringing that pervades Swedish society. Continue reading
